TSK has stood alongside professionals for nearly 50 years. Our craftsmanship is rooted in the idea of Ichiboku Ichiyo—that every piece of wood, shaped by nature, is unique.

Woodworking artisans have mastered the art of carving each piece from a single block of wood, always guided by the character of the material. But we believed wooden tableware could be more—that the limitations of traditional carving had narrowed its possibilities.

We wanted to create wooden tableware that breaks free from convention and inspires chefs’ creativity. That belief led to HUE, our new collection where traditional Japanese craftsmanship meets graphic design.

Reimagining Japanese Aesthetics Through Playful Color and Visual Metaphor

HUE is a new collection of tableware inspired by the creative spirit of hue and hiyu, the Japanese word for “metaphor.” We treasure the traditional Japanese aesthetic of mitate, the art of visual metaphor. Our tableware evokes Japanese landscapes, the changing seasons, and the quiet presence of nature. When food is served and the artisan’s metaphor meets the user’s imagination, each plate becomes complete.

By blending traditional techniques with modern aesthetics, we continue to redefine Japanese style. Each of our kumiko patterns is assembled by hand, as if tracing the lines of a graphic design. The delicate variations unique to handcrafting cast playful silhouettes across the dining table. Our rokuro products feature glaze-inspired finishes applied to the carved wood grain, creating a contrast between the natural wood and vibrant color, and deep gradients that bring each piece to life.
